OVERLORD 2013 will be held at the Lawns showground in Denmead Hants PO7 6TZ on the Bank holiday weekend of May 25th 26th and 27th .Please note that Friday 24th is a trade and re-enactor day only and the showground will not be open to the public.

Continuing to build on the previous success of last year’s show, visitors and exhibitors will enjoy spectacular arena displays with established favourites. We expect a record number of traders, offering a wide range of militaria. Our food court regulars will be offering a full selection including hog roast, burgers, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and ice creams.
Let’s hope that the weather is warm and sunny, just like old times so we can enjoy the leafy 40 acre site and an arena with natural vegetation as a background for the daily vehicle displays. We expect 350 wheeled and tracked entries for the main show field whilst in the living history field a wide variety of displays from World War 1 to the Gulf War will dig in for that added realism .
Arena events and a spectacular mock battle will be supported by show stalwarts, the 514th Quartermaster Truck Regiment and the Second Battle Group, ably assisted by elements from many other re-enactor groups. Further and varied entertainment is to be provided by the Fair Oak Dog Display team, the West Sussex Army Cadets and the band of T.S. Alacrity.
For 2013 we want to encourage even more of you to join in the spirit and the fun of the event, now is the time to make your plans and to gather the clothes and accessories to your look. Apart from the admiring looks you’ll get when dressed to the nines and the new friends you will make, the warm glow of participation and the feeling of being part of the “in” crowd on Nostalgia Day, Sunday 26th May.
That such a large show can be staged so successfully is a tribute to all those organisations and individuals who so ably help the club in the organisation and running of it; to them we say a heartfelt thank you for all the time and effort they give so generously and greatly look forward to their presence and support in 2013.
Though the excitement of the Jubilee and the Olympics will be absent this
year, the club members of SOE are now planning to make OVERLORD 2013 Spring
Bank Holiday show an even more entertaining, instructive and value-for-money
full day's family enjoyment.
