Hello from sunny Portchester
For the blooming third time......
Got meself a Hotchkiss M201 Jeep "Americanised", yes you read right "Americanised" More of a re-enactor than a vehicle fan. Re-enact US Army units that served throughout WW2 but I do not portray 101st or 82nd AB. Been interested in the military since as long as I can remember mainly the RN, served in the reserve forces for about ten years RNR (HMS SOUTHWICK & HMS WESSEX) and a year in the TA (Home Service Force) Since joining this forum I have developed RSI due to typing everything in triplicate!!!!! Joke!!!Paul |

RE: Hello from sunny Portchester
You must be one of the few re-enactors that doesn't! There must be more 101st around now than served throughout WW2. In fact I don't believe you are a serious re-enactor at all otherwise you wouldn't cheerfully tell us you have a Hotchkiss but would be claiming it was "the first Jeep ashore on D-Day..."
Anyway I've had the pleasure of seeing your displays at Nelson and Hulbert Junior - no way could an airborne troop get that lot in an aircraft ![]() (For those who haven't yet encountered Paul at an event - check these pictures) And what's all this "greetings from sunny Portchester?" - your message is timed at gone 9pm in January. Unless Portchester's slipped a long way south toward he equator it's pitch black where you are ![]() Anyway, joking aside, welcome again to the board and I hope to see you at a good few of the events this year, even at the club if your schedule allows.
