2010 saw the first March4Honour event and, at time of writing this, over £600,000 has been raised for the Royal British Legion,
… and all in the hall
everyone was jolly
and having a ball!
Just returned, pleasantly full, from the West Meon Hut where we enjoyed an evening of good company and food. It was our annual Christmas meal, 38 strong and from all over the Solent area lured both by the event itself and the bargain price of £12.50. On arrival we found that the committee had decided to subsidise the meal by £7.50 so there we had a three course dinner for just £5!
The food? What do you expect for the price! Well, this was well presented and good quality, good value at £12.50 so obviously excellent value at a fiver! The evening, from where I was sitting, went well. Three hours swiftly passed, conversations and laughter flowed and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. In fact it was such a success we may try something similar next year …
Many thanks to Ian Colvin for researching the site and organising the event.
Just a quick heads up – pictures of Bursledon Brickworks added to the galleries tab – mouseover to select.
