Now the clearing up is almost done (Sunday and I have just unloaded my trailer!) it’s time to reflect on Overlord 2011, our most ambitious show yet. The culmination of 12 months of planning and hard work was anticipated with a certain amount of trepidation by the SOE committee and members, a new site bringing new and unknown challenges.
Now the Overlord Show is in its new home at the Lawns and now we have experienced the first day we are very happy with the location, with the standard and variety of exhibits, the quality and range of the traders and the calibre of the caterers and choice that’s on offer. Continue reading »

Just for a change from the usual military sort of fare and to give families a chance to entertain the children we invited Khaled Hammad, who gave so many people a taste of magic at Overlord 2010, to come along and perform for us. And what fun we had!
At last night’s club meeting various charities were considered for “headline” status at Overlord 2011. A large majority were in favour of The Royal British Legion to be the beneficiaries of our disposable surplus …
