In the absence of a full-time social secretary (hint!) I have been asked by a couple of members whether it is ok to invite non-members on club trips. I will raise this point at tomorrow’s committee meeting but I am certain the answer will be in line with my thinking – short answer – YES.

The club exists for people with an interest in all aspects of military life – vehicles, history and militaria. If they want to share those interests with friends or family members by bringing them to a meeting or on a club trip then fine, all are welcome. The  caveats are that if numbers are restricted then paid-up members get preference, also guests will be asked to pay full price if a trip is heavily subsidised.

If the guest then becomes a regular attendee then we will ask them to join and stump up the annual £10 which apart from allowing them to take full advantage of all that goes on also provides insurance for them at club events.

And subsidised grub at Christmas!
